Tim has 16 years experience of developing business strategy and managing change at senior levels in the insurance, financial services and professional service sectors. Working for companies such as Legal & General, Vantis and GAB Robins, Tim has introduced technology solutions to improve business performance and customer service including; portable point of sale mortgage systems, on-line pension services, field based digital dictation and digital pen & paper technology.

Dr Barry Wetherilt

Barry moved from an academic career to the Insurance Technology sector in 1986, becoming involved with the then rapidly developing personal computing revolution. During the past 8 years at GAB Robins as IT Director UK and Vice President Global Technology he has been responsible for developing and introducing a program of industry award winning EYE products which range from powerful business intelligence tools, client access and information services and, most recently, innovative mobility solutions such as the Digital Pen.

Alan Major

Alan has 18 years experience in the field claims environment with GAB Robins UK, in a variety of IT roles including project manager, senior business analyst and software development manager.

Alan has designed, developed and project managed financial and claims related database systems within the UK, southern Ireland, mainland Europe and the Far East and is experienced in a wide range of languages and technologies, ranging from Visual Basic, XML and SQL Server, to the latest .Net C# development language.

Over the last two years Alan has managed the team responsible for the introduction of the digital pen mobile data capture systems within GAB Robins, including the multi-award winning Robins Affinity Management business unit.

Alan’s interests include photography and chess.  In addition, he has a keen interest in writing, with a crime novel due for release at Christmas.
